Description

Clients often end up in our offices with misunderstandings about love and with injuries resulting from experiences of love. Therapeutic work can not only help clients heal from these wounds, it can also serve as an experience of love itself.  Regardless of what method we use, we can integrate loving, heart-centred practices, such as intentionality, movement, chanting, and writing, to help heal the mind, body, and spirit. This experiential session is an invitation to honor the love within ourselves and the sacred space between us and our clients as we explore:

  • Elements of the nonphysical aspects of love that can be highlighted in practice, including trust, surrender, connection, companionship, forgiveness, and hope
  • Heart-centred approaches for guiding clients to live a life of deeper loving acceptance of themselves and others
  • How other therapists experience being in loving service to their clients
  • How to apply the practice of psychotherapy as both an act of love and a spiritual encounter
