Due to the way our brains are wired, the older and more primitive parts are often in direct conflict with the more newly developed parts which can lead to anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues and more. This workshop on Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) will teach you the “3 systems theory” of emotional regulation and the Compassionate Mind Training (CMT) exercises and tools that can be applied to teach clients to soothe themselves and create positive emotional responses.

Dr Chris Irons will share with you the invaluable insights and proven techniques he has gathered through his practice as a clinical psychologist and position as co-director of Balanced Minds, the largest specialist provider of CFT in the world, including:

  • The theory behind Compassion Focused Therapy according to evolutionary theory
  • Research-backed and practice-proven Compassionate Mind Training exercises and techniques you can use to teach client's self-compassion and increase their self-worth and happiness
  • A holistic approach using tools from a wide range of sources including psychotherapy, neuroscience, Buddhism and more
