You’ve likely heard about Polyvagal Theory and its unique ability to help clients tap into their nervous systems to find their way out of distress, to feeling calm and connected again.
Ever since Stephen Porges introduced this neurobiological insight to our field, it’s been transforming treatment throughout the world.
Now you have the unique opportunity to experience Polyvagal Theory like never before… through Deb Dana’s intimate and very limited, 6-month Skills & Supervision Programme!
Deb Dana is one of the first clinicians to create a system for using Polyvagal Theory in therapy.
And now you can get personal supervision directly from her, to boost your confidence with even the most complex cases.
You’ll get access to six Polyvagal-informed skills CPD recordings and join a small cohort of your colleagues from around the world for monthly face-to-face supervision sessions . . .
... where you’ll learn how to:
  • Develop a healing map from your client’s nervous system, to build the foundation for therapeutic success and prevent sessions from getting stuck

  • Leverage the therapeutic relationship as a regulating presence and a source of safety

  • Offer clients resources to use in their day-to-day lives to access safety and regulation, even the most distressing moments

  • And much more!

This is your chance to access a safe space with your colleagues to exchange transformative insights into our clients' relational dynamics – along with a skilled support team that can help untangle unconscious processes and complex emotions.
Plus, you’ll get lifetime access to the skills CPD recordings, so you can review the material whenever you need.
Normally an opportunity like this would take years of waiting to be selected but you get the rare chance to be part of this very limited cohort of 56 participants.

Programme Schedule
Each month, you’ll get access to the next Skills CPD Session and Supervision Group Session on the same day. The Supervision Session will occur live from 17.30-1900, and the Skills CPD Session will be available on-demand to view any time.
Skills Session 1 - Listening to Autonomic Stories
Wed 6 October 2021
Stories of safety and survival start in the autonomic nervous system.  What begins with our biology shapes our beliefs about who we are and how the world works.  This opening session will focus on mapping the states of mobilization, collapse, and connection and listening with curiosity to the stories that emerge from each.
Supervision Group Session 1 - 17.30PM to 19.00PM BST
Skills Session 2 - Traveling The Pathways of Neuroception: From Protection to Connection
Wed, 3 November 2021
Working below the level of awareness, the autonomic nervous system takes in information through the embodied, environmental, and relational pathways of neuroception. In this session, we learn strategies to track neuroceptive signals of safety and danger and explore how to create the conditions that support moving out of protection into connection.
Supervision Group Session 2 - 17.30PM to 19.00PM BST
Skills Session 3 - Regulated and Regulating
Wed, 8 December 2021
As therapists, it is our responsibility to be a regulated presence and a source of safety for our clients.  And yet, there are moments in our work when we feel our own survival energy activating causing a rupture in the therapeutic relationship.  This session will focus on becoming familiar with signs of therapist disconnection, what to do when that happens, and how to engage in the process of making an autonomically based repair.
Supervision Group Session 3 - 17.30PM to 19.00PM GMT
Skills Session 4 - Co-regulating through the Social Engagement System
Wed, 5 January 2022
Opportunities for safe co-regulation are an essential ingredient for physical and psychological wellbeing.  In this session, we will look at the individual elements of the social engagement system and learn how to utilize our eyes, voice, gestures, and proximity to send autonomic signals of safety.
Supervision Group Session 4 - 17.30PM to 19.00PM GMT
Skills Session 5 - Anchoring in Regulation
Wed, 9 February 2022
Resourcing the ability for autonomic regulation is an important part of clinical work.  In this session, we will learn how to notice moments of regulation and experiment with practices that deepen the experience.
Supervision Group Session 5 - 17.30PM to 19.00PM GMT
Skills Session 6 - Returning to Regulation
Wed, 2 March 2022
Being pulled out of regulation into a survival state is a common experience and a normal part of daily life.  It is when we are pulled into survival and can’t find the way back to regulation that we suffer.  In this final session, we will explore the nervous system’s inherent ability to return to regulation and practices to uncover and deepen those pathways.
Supervision Group Session 6 - 17.30PM to 19.00PM GMT
